What you need
Viber first requires an approved commercial bot. After approval, you copy the bot's sender name and private authentication token into SEROS; SEROS registers the webhook for you.
- An active commercial Viber bot
- The Viber authentication token
- The approved bot sender name

Connect Rakuten Viber, one click at a time
Complete each small action in order. Do not move to the next step until the expected result matches what you see.

Confirm that you have a commercial bot
A normal personal Viber account cannot be connected as a bot. Commercial bot access is controlled by Rakuten Viber and its approved partners.
- Confirm your company has an active commercial Viber bot.
- Ask the bot administrator to give you administrator access or stay available during setup.
- If no bot exists, apply through Viber's commercial channel before continuing in SEROS.
Expected resultThe approved bot is visible to an administrator in Viber's bot administration area.

Copy the exact sender name
SEROS displays this name to identify the connection, so copy it exactly as Viber approved it.
- Open the bot in the Viber Admin Panel.
- Open Edit info.
- Find the approved bot or sender name.
- Copy the complete name without adding spaces or changing capitalization.
Expected resultThe approved sender name is in your clipboard or secure setup note.

Copy the authentication token
Viber may call this the authentication token or application key. Treat it like a password.
- In Edit info, find Authentication token.
- Use the copy control to copy the full token.
- Do not paste it into chat, email, or a public document.
Expected resultThe full Viber authentication token is ready to paste into SEROS.

Open the Viber connection form
Create the connection in the workspace that will own the Viber inbox.
- Open SEROS and select Integrations.
- Scroll to the Rakuten Viber block.
- Select Connect.
- Enter a clear Connection name, such as “Viber support”.
Expected resultThe Bot sender name and Viber authentication token fields are visible.

Paste the Viber details
Use the two values copied from the same approved bot.
- Paste the approved name into Bot sender name.
- Paste the private token into Viber authentication token.
- Check that neither value has an extra space at the beginning or end.
- Select Save securely.
Expected resultSEROS creates a Pending Viber connection and displays Finish setup.
- 06SEROS
Test and activate
SEROS verifies the token and then registers the Viber webhook automatically.
- Close Finish setup and find the new Viber connection.
- Select Test and wait for the bot identity check.
- Select Activate.
- Confirm that the connection status changes to Active.
Expected resultViber reports Active and the webhook check succeeds.
- 07Viber + SEROS Inbox
Test with a subscribed user
A person must subscribe to or open the bot conversation before the bot can answer them.
- From a separate Viber account, open and subscribe to the commercial bot.
- Send a short test message.
- Open SEROS Unified Inbox and select the new Viber conversation.
- Reply from SEROS and confirm the reply arrives in Viber.
Expected resultThe Viber conversation works in both directions.
FINAL CHECK
Verify before your team relies on it
- The bot token test succeeds
- The connection status is Active
- An inbound subscriber message reaches SEROS
- A SEROS reply is delivered through the Viber bot

Know the provider rules
Commercial bot approval and Viber messaging rules are controlled by Rakuten Viber.
Replace credentials and retest if the authentication token is rotated.
