BEFORE YOU START
What you need
SEROS currently uses Twilio for outbound SMS. You copy your Twilio Account SID and Auth Token, then choose either one SMS-capable phone number or one Messaging Service.

Prepare an approved SMS sender
The sender must support the countries you plan to message and must complete any required brand, campaign, toll-free, or local registration.
- Sign in to Twilio Console and open Messaging.
- Confirm you own an SMS-capable Twilio number, or open Services and select Create Messaging Service.
- For a Messaging Service, name it, choose the use case, add the approved sender to Sender Pool, and complete the compliance information.
- Check the destination-country rules and record how customer SMS consent is collected.
Expected resultTwilio shows an approved phone number or Messaging Service ready to send SMS.

Copy the Account SID and Auth Token
Both values are on the Twilio Account Dashboard. The SID starts with AC; the Auth Token is private.
- Open the Account Dashboard in Twilio Console.
- Copy the Account SID beginning with AC.
- Reveal and copy the Auth Token.
- Do not paste the Auth Token into chat, email, or a shared document.
Expected resultThe Twilio Account SID and Auth Token are ready for the SEROS form.

Copy one sender value
SEROS accepts either a From phone number or a Messaging Service SID. You do not need to fill both.
- For a single number, open Phone Numbers, Manage, Active numbers, select the number, and copy it with the +country code.
- For a Messaging Service, open Messaging, Services, select the service, and copy the SID beginning with MG.
- Write down which option you chose so it goes into the correct SEROS field.
Expected resultYou have either a +phone number or an MG Messaging Service SID.

Open Twilio SMS
Create the connection in the workspace whose campaigns will use this sender.
- Open SEROS and select Integrations.
- Find the Twilio SMS block.
- Select Connect.
- Enter a clear Connection name such as “US transactional SMS” or “Main marketing SMS”.
Expected resultThe Twilio credential and sender fields are visible.

Paste the Twilio details
Match every copied value to the label in the form.
- Paste the AC value into Twilio Account SID.
- Paste the private value into Twilio Auth Token.
- Paste your +number into Twilio From phone, or paste the MG value into Messaging Service SID.
- Leave the other sender field empty and select Save securely.
Expected resultSEROS creates a Pending Twilio SMS connection.

Test and activate
The test checks the Twilio account and confirms the sender belongs to it.
- Close Finish setup and find the new Twilio SMS connection.
- Select Test and wait for the provider response.
- If Twilio reports a registration or sender error, fix it in Twilio and run Test again.
- Select Activate when the test succeeds.
Expected resultThe Twilio SMS sender shows Active.

Send one consented test SMS
Use a real, consented test number in a country approved for the sender.
- Create a short SMS template that identifies the sender and includes required opt-out wording.
- Choose the activated Twilio connection.
- Send to one internal consented number first.
- Confirm delivery in Twilio message logs before sending to a larger segment.
Expected resultThe test phone receives the SMS from the expected sender identity.
FINAL CHECK
Verify before your team relies on it
- The sender is approved in Twilio
- The SEROS connection test succeeds
- The sender status is Active
- A controlled test campaign reaches a consented recipient

Know the provider rules
Carrier, registration, country, quiet-hour, and consent rules remain your responsibility.
Inbound SMS is not part of the current SEROS Twilio sender integration.
